Whether it is a traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, amputation, cancer or other type of health condition, this life-changing event is unbelievably stressful. Oftentimes, it can mean adjusting to living with a chronic illness. It is not uncommon for people to feel disconnected, anxious, depressed, unmotivated, numb, and lonely as they adjust. Life can feel out of control and like there is no clear way to move forward.

It may not seem likely at first, but it is possible to move forward. We can work together in therapy to help you adjust to chronic illness or injury in ways that reconnect you to the people you love and a life you enjoy.
